Ministry Training

Here is a free course in Ministry Training to kick-start your Christian ministry. Before any endeavor, you should first pray! Write everything in a notebook and keep handy for reference.

1. Determine if you are prepared for God's calling. Study any classes you feel are needed for your particular areas. Prepare yourself to undertake God's special calling.

2. Determine what is the purpose of your ministry. Of course your answer should be to serve the Lord, thy God, and glorify His Name.

3. How can your ministry help all people to know the Lord and Savior?

4. You will need to encourage everyone to find a place of ministry so all can help contribute by doing their share and thereby allowing your ministry to grow in numbers.

5. Encourage the use of gifting, tything and the talents and skills of those willing to fulfill the call through serving others.

6. All efforts should be combined by helping everyone to come to a place of wholeness through a personal relationship with God.

7. Develop a mission statement.

8. Determine the purpose of your ministry? What will you be doing and why?

9. What do you expect to accomplish through your ministry?

10. Who will your ministry be providing the service for? Make a list of all the services you plan to provide.

11. How do you envision the ministry - now and in the future? (Write a small business plan).

12. Establish your statement of faith.

13. Give your ministry a name.

14. Philosophy.

15. Put together a Logo and Ministry Colors.

16. Gather together Ministry Prayers (taken from a book of Psalms).

There is so much more... e-mail any questions or concerns you may have. It takes time to start a ministry, along with your continuous prayer. You will also need designs for Business Cards, Flyers, Brochures, Newsletters, Calendars, and worship programs for Sunday services, etc. You will need samples of these if you eventually go on to apply for state and federal tax-exempt status. Once you have all of the above things written down and in place, you are ready to go public or use the internet for your ministry needs. Let everyone know that you are available and the services you have to offer them. Pray for the assistance of individuals who the Lord wants to help you in your ministry. Then help those individuals that He sends you to share in your ministry's vision and goals by allowing them to serve in the areas that they have talent and skills. This should help to get you started on your way to your Christian ministry. As you pray to God the Father, listen to Him, and allow His will to be done! Pray every day...
